Happy Bert-day!

July 26, 2010

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Bert, of 123 Sesame Street.  Happy Birthday, Bert!

Bert first appeared in the pilot of Sesame Street back in 1969.  It can be assumed that he was already in his early thirties, but his exact age remains unknown.  He has been performed, for the bulk of his career, by the great Frank Oz; his pal Ernie was originally voiced by Jim Henson.  Bert’s interests include paper clip collecting, making oatmeal, and caring for his pigeon, Bernice.  We hope that he is enjoying those pastimes as he celebrates on his special day.

A remarkable fifteen companies include the word “muppet” in their 10-K Annual Reports, including Walt Disney Co, Mattel Inc, and, bizarrely, Foot Locker Inc.  See for yourself on our SEC Filings page.
